Chlorocypha cancellata (Selys, 1879)

Type locality: Mongo-Malobata, Cameroon

Diagnosis

Male is similar to C. curta and C. helenae by the blue terminal Abd segments, in sharp contrast with the basal segments. However, differs by (1) antehumeral stripe with straight dorsal border; (2) basal segments (usually S2-6) reddish with thick black apical bars and black dorsal and lateral lines; (3) tibiae all black rather than white anteriorly. Habitat description

Mostly streams, but also rivers, shaded by forest, but sometimes in open areas in forest. Usually with dead trunks or branches and probably submerged roots and/or coarse detritus. From 0 to 2100 m above sea level, but mostly below 1000, although possibly up to 2600.
